The major changes of every version will be stored here.

Version 5.3.4 Map-component fix

• The cashed images in some cases might become above the newly generated image. The logic has been changed to avoid such situations in the future.

Version 5.3.2 WMS and the scalebar component.

• The scalebar can now use Decimal degrees, Meters and Inches as input format. It can show the content in Miles,Meters and Mautical Miles.
• WMSComponent is sligtly changed so it can pass on the untis the map is actualy working in. Only used today to deal with the scalebar.
• Scalebar can work now with the WMSConnector and IMSConnector.

Version 5.3.1 WMS further implemented

WMS is now fully integrated and all functionalities that WMS has today are implemented in this version. The following improvements have been done inside the components.

• clearChashedImages() has been added inside the map-component.
• AddSelection(myWMSLayer) has been enabled.
• WMSLayer-class can be used to set selection features of the WMS-service. See help for more information.
• "showAllLayersInitialy"-attribute has been included inside the WMSConnector component. It gives you the possiblity to default select all layers.
• "UpdateSequenceType"-attribute has been included. This allows you to use a date or counter for the UpdateSequence-parameters on a WMS server. 99% of the servers allow both.
• "transparent"-property has been added. Set this to 'true' on the WMSConnector and the background will be send as transparent.(Only works inside Flash8)

Version 5.2.3 Error and fixes from 5.2.0

• selectCircle was producing an endless loop.
• selectionLayer-component has been improved so it contains the featuretype. In this way you can now select images-layers as well.

Version 5.2.0 XML Feature implementations (GeoRSS)

Hi everybody, as from 5.2.0 we can work with geoRSS feeds and put those on top of any background map (ArcIMS or WMS service). geoRSS is only one of the implementation we will build. KML, WFS(T) and GML will be implemented shortly as well. The framework is very easy to extend for any feature XML structure you have in mind. What is even better is that you not only can read geoRSS but you can also generate new features on the map and POST the content back to the server. I suggest you have a look at the geoRSS sample

Other small fixes:
- We still facing small issues when the AXL returns ',' for numeric decimals instead of '.' We found some small errors that we removed here.
- Buffer in the select method was missing a ". This made the request mallfunction.
- Mapcomponent cashing if images would make the mapcomponent hang when set lower then 2. This is now resolved. The minimum setting is 1 negative or 0 will be ignored and reset towards 1.
- Mapcomponent addExtraLayer behavior has been changed. The events for zoomin,pan,out and select are now placed under those extra movieclips. The drawing of the elastic is put above. onClick, onInteractionChange and onMouseStill events have been added.onMouseStill will trigger when the mouse stands still for 200 miliseconds. the event will return map and screen coordinates. onInteractionChange will trigger each time my_map.interaction is changing value.

Version 5.0.8 Errors and Fixes from 5.0.6

For some reason 5.0.6 had serious problems mainly for people using the classes rather then the components. In this version we try to fix those. We also seem to have lost the status component, This version we have introduced this back. Be aware that the status component will change further because we want to make it more easy of changing the movieclip you use to show the process. Geomovieclip will still not convert the ',' into '.' when your map service use the comma as decimal delimiter. We hope to resolve that in the next version.

Version 5.0.6 Improvements.

More bug fixing on geoMovieclip-component. The addPoint method is extended so you can also modify points by giving them an OBJECTID. Geomovieclip let you put animated movieclips on top of the map.

Version 5.0.5 Improvements.

This version is mainly fixing bugs in 5.0.4. Many small things needed to be fixed because of the change in class structure but some components have been a little extended.

geoMovieclip-component : The component is extendend to be used in querying tabular data and view the content on top of the map using movieclips. It also follows to projection parameter of the map when you point towards a different service. Additional methods such as reset, getSelection, queryData have been added.

Layer-component : Some general fixes such as the possibility of removing the eye icon or add another icon. Also the triggering of a map request has been improved. The layer component can also be used on top of the WMS connector.

Selection-component: We changed the way output is transfered to other components. Now you can even create an output format. A simple text field can now be used to pass on field information.

Version 4.0.9 Selection-component fix

Using the selection-components multiple times is now possible.

Version 4.0.5 onDrawMap event, AXLRenderer parameter.

A new event ( onDrawMap) will be triggered every time the map is redrawn. This allows you to animated movieclips on top of the map while it is moving arround.
The mapViewer.image_target_url has been moved into the imsConnector because it is a IMS specifique problem.
A move will happen in pixcels rather then in percentage in side doPanStep-method. mapViewer.processImage got an extra parameter to force animation.
The dataLayer class can recevieve any rendering XML form ESRI by setting the dataLayer.AXLRenderer.

Version 4.0.4 Inset improvement.

Inset or overview can now be resized by dragging the corners. The main map will show instandly what you select. (Thanks to Jon Maiden who did the major work).

Version 4.0.3 Bug fixes & xmlConnector.

The user interaction has been improved a lot. There where a number of hick-ups when the user performed interactions while the server tried to retrieve an image. The map could suddenly jump. In this version it should be gone totaly. The following list of changes has been made on the interaction.

• user can interupt the zoom animation at any time.
• server images and user move can work independently.
• resize of the map component will not reflect in deleting the cashed images.
• zoom in, zoom out and inset will ignore 10 pixcel boxes. (to avoid confusion for none experienced users).
• Inset window will not jump towards the middle when being moved.
• The corners of the inset window can be dragged. (need to be more visible)

The entire image positioning needed to be rewritten because we prepare the mapcomponents for other connectors such as WMSConnector, GMLConnector (WFS) and xmlConnector.

xmlConnector is a new component and allows you to assign static images. Check the example pages later this weekend for an example. The component is still in it's basic form and will be further extended. The aim of this component is to load the first initial images into the cash so a user get's to see instant results. But it can also be used to show scanned maps or images.

Version 4.0.2 Inset or overview map.

Jon Maiden has made some improvements towards the inset map or overview map. The view is not showing the coverage of the master map if it is the same as the overview map. Dragging the inset area is also improved so it remembers where the mouse has clicked. A bug in the map animation has also been cleaned up.

WARNING:

We just have updated towards arcSDE 9.1 SP1 and offcourse there is a bug that makes query not function correctly.The #ALL# option that should return all fields is not working. This bug makes that the default settings of these components can not be used as should be. I hope we have soon a fix for this problem. Sorry about that

Version 4.0.1 selectionLayer component and more.

Difference beteen 4.0.0 and 4.0.1 : geoMovieclip did not function any longer because of the "enabled" property.

Define a selection layer simply by drag and drop. This new version makes it now totaly possible to generate a mapviewer including selections without a single line of code. Simple drag one or more selectionLayer components on the stage assign the layer they should query on and drag a grid. Link the grid and the selectionLayer component by adding the grid's instance name towards the layers source_instance name.

A selection can also be shown on the map. Simple set one of the symbols inside the component. Note that we have added more features to the marker symbol.

workspace is now also added to the dataLayer class. This allows you to add layers that are not defined inside the servers AXL-config file. Give it a go! It's real cool.
